What is judged
Apparatus and marching units are judged in the classes captured on the entry reply sheet:
- Pumpers and engines, by year
- Aerials and ladder apparatus
- Rescue trucks and mini-pumpers
- Ambulances and chief's vehicles
- Vintage motor apparatus
- Antique apparatus — hand-drawn and horse-drawn
- Marching fire companies and ladies auxiliaries
- Bands and drum corps
- Floats and community group entries
Declare every piece you plan to bring on your entry reply sheet so the Committee can place it in the right class.
Award categories for 2026 are being finalized. The confirmed trophy list — the exact categories, classes, and any anniversary awards marking our 135th year — is issued by the Parade Committee and mailed and emailed to every registered entry before parade day. It will be posted here as soon as it is confirmed. For the current list in the meantime, contact Parade Chairman Chris Azzollini at Chief@boontonfd.org or (973) 334-0114.
Disqualification. Any use of sirens in the line of march — except in a genuine emergency — will result in disqualification from awards. See the full Rules & Regulations.
