Dear Fellow Firefighters,

The Boonton Fire Department extends a cordial invitation to you and your Ladies Auxiliary to participate in our 133rd Anniversary Parade to be held Saturday August 31, 2024 beginning at 1:30 pm sharp. Rain date September 2, 2024.

For the past 87 years it has been the custom of the Boonton Fire Department to have an inspection and parade on Labor Day Weekend. It has always been well attended and very much enjoyed by those participating.

The parade will assemble in the West Boonton area and proceed down Main Street to Grant Street, to Old Boonton Road, ending at Boonton High School. The entrance to the parade assembly area will be Morris Avenue at the intersection with Rockaway Street. All units should plan to arrive no later than 12:30 pm. The apparatus judging will take place prior to the parade. We will bring the older firemen residing at the New Jersey Firemen’s Home to the reviewing stand so that they may view new equipment, comrades and possibly their former units on parade.

Please find our revised trophy list for this year’s parade. Each year we make several changes in the award list from suggestions made by our visiting firemen. These changes are made to please the majority, and we hope you are among them.

Enclosed you will find an Entry Form and the Rules and Regulations for our parade. We hope you plan to be with us on Labor Day Weekend to celebrate our 133rd Anniversary. Please complete the enclosed entry form and return it to us at your earliest convenience.
